Companion Pet Rescue (CPR) was established in 2004 by Director Molli Bowen with a heartfelt mission: to support the countless unwanted and homeless dogs and puppies in West Tennessee and connect them with loving families in New England. Beyond just rescuing these vulnerable pups, CPR’s dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to assist the families struggling with the overwhelming responsibility of unwanted and homeless animals. Since our inception, we have successfully rehomed over 7,500 dogs and puppies, a testament to the power of collaboration through our extensive network of affiliated shelters, rescue organizations, and private adoptions.
Our Commitment to Companion Animal Welfare
Many compassionate individuals often ask us, “Where do you find so many dogs and puppies in need?” The unfortunate reality is that areas like West Tennessee, and many parts of the Southern United States, face significant challenges regarding companion animal welfare. These regions often lack crucial spay/neuter regulations, pet licensing, and have no limitations on the number of pets per household. Furthermore, enforcement of existing animal care regulations is often minimal or non-existent. This combination of factors leads to alarmingly high rates of euthanasia in local shelters. Companion Pet Rescue steps in to offer a lifeline to these animals, providing them with a chance at a brighter future.
Adoption Policy and How You Can Help
To begin the adoption process and ensure a prompt response from our dedicated volunteers, we kindly request that you complete our online application, which can be found at www.cprdogs.com. Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive daily and the limited time our volunteers have, filling out the application is the most effective way to guarantee a response. Inquiries sent through other contact forms may unfortunately be missed, potentially delaying your chance to adopt your perfect companion pet.
Once we receive your application, our team will carefully review it. If approved, we will reach out to discuss the adoption procedure in detail and provide information on the availability of the puppies or dogs you are interested in. We are constantly rescuing new companion pets as others find their forever homes, and our website is updated daily to reflect our current available animals. Even if the specific pet you initially applied for has been adopted, we are committed to assisting you in finding another wonderful companion who is the right match for your family.
To ensure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to connect with a rescue pet, please apply directly through our website at www.cprdogs.com. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
