Our dining experience began with the octopus, and it was a revelation. Perfectly tender and bursting with exquisite flavors, it was an exceptional start. However, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Taleggio Agnolotti. Initially, I might have overlooked this dish, but our server’s enthusiastic recommendation led us to a culinary masterpiece. The combination of crispy lamb belly, charred leeks, and fragrant chive oil was simply divine. This dish alone is a standout and one of the most unforgettable Italian dishes I’ve savored in St. Pete. For an upscale Italian dining experience, Il Ritorno is among the best restaurants in downtown St. Pete.

The focus at Jay Luigi is on high-quality ingredients, evident in every dish, from their meticulously hand-rolled pastas to their authentic Roman and Neapolitan-style pizzas. We opted for the “Mary” pizza, a delightful combination of mozzarella, ricotta, savory meatballs, sweet caramelized onion, and parmesan. It was, simply put, incredible. The pizza was perfectly cooked with a delicious balance of flavors.
Adding a healthy and flavorful counterpoint, we also tried the “Don’t Kale My Vibe” salad, which was surprisingly delightful. This salad was a game-changer, so refreshing and tasty that it immediately secured a spot among my favorite salads in Tampa Bay. Jay Luigi is a must-visit when exploring restaurants in downtown St. Pete, offering a blend of delicious food and a welcoming ambiance.

When Allelo first opened, it quickly became my favorite obsession – I couldn’t get enough! They are also known for hosting unique and exciting events, so it’s always worth checking their schedule. In Between Days is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing and unique restaurants in downtown St. Pete. Their intentionally mysterious approach, with limited spoilers about the vibe, food, or cocktails on social media, only heightens the allure.
What I can reveal is that it’s a captivating Tokyo-style listening bar and craft sake house that’s absolutely worth experiencing. While the menu has been updated since my last visit (prompting a definite return trip), everything I’ve tasted here has been packed with incredible flavors. And the sake cocktails? Truly transformative. In Between Days offers a unique and adventurous dining experience, setting it apart from other restaurants in downtown St. Pete.
To maintain the mystery, I’ll encourage you to trust the hype and discover the magic of In Between Days for yourself!

I had an absolutely wonderful time here, and the staff’s wine recommendation was spot-on, finding me the perfect glass of wine to match my taste.
The charcuterie boards are a must-order, and I still dream about the fire and ice ceviche—it’s genuinely outstanding (and coming from someone who recently visited Colombia, that’s high praise!). Just when you think your meal is complete, don’t even consider skipping the tres leches cake served in a coconut—it’s the perfect sweet and memorable finale.

Copa truly lives up to the hype. Their menu is a delightful tribute to the vibrant flavors of Latin America and the Caribbean—think tapas with a tropical twist. Every dish is bursting with flavor, but we were particularly captivated by their perfectly cooked scallops and crispy tostones!
For cocktails, their espresso martini was a standout moment. The presentation was visually stunning, the flavor profile was perfectly balanced, and the fact that it was half-price during happy hour? Even better!

If you’ve dined at Parkshore Grill, you already understand why it consistently makes lists of the best restaurants in downtown St. Pete. For any special occasion – a birthday, a holiday, or a romantic date night in St. Pete – Parkshore Grill is always a top contender. Its prime location right on Beach Drive and the option to dine on the patio with a glass of wine create an atmosphere of pure perfection. The interior is equally lovely, but there’s something uniquely special about the patio setting.
The menu features contemporary American cuisine, and they always offer enticing daily specials. However, if you appreciate surf ‘n’ turf, you absolutely must try The Parkshore. This signature dish includes a tender filet mignon and a succulent lobster tail, and that lobster is unbelievably tender. The addition of lemon caper butter sauce elevates it to another level of deliciousness.
One of my favorite traditions is sharing The Parkshore with my partner. We typically start with an appetizer or a small salad, and the staff is always gracious enough to split the entrée for us, presenting it on separate plates, so it still feels like a complete and thoughtful meal. For an elegant and classic dining experience, Parkshore Grill is among the premier restaurants in downtown St. Pete.
11. The Urban Stillhouse: Cozy Ambiance and Southern Comfort
Everything about The Urban Stillhouse is designed to be an experience. The atmosphere, the impeccable service, the delicious food, and the expertly crafted drinks—it’s all exceptional. Imagine plush leather sofas, inviting wood-burning fireplaces, a dedicated bourbon “library,” and an aroma that evokes the warmth of Christmas at home. “Cozy” barely begins to describe it.
Reservations are highly recommended as this popular spot fills up quickly. While I’ve only visited for brunch, their dinner menu looks equally enticing. For brunch, the bloody mary is a must-try (they even offer a caffeine and B12 infusion for an extra boost). And their fried chicken and homemade pickles? Simply unreal.
Even if you’re not typically a bourbon drinker, consider ordering a flight for the table just for the experience. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and will guide you through the best way to savor each selection. And if you have the chance, take a brief tour of the venue—at the very least, venture upstairs to explore “the library”! For a unique and cozy dining experience, The Urban Stillhouse is a standout among restaurants in downtown St. Pete.

The Library is another favorite go-to for brunch or lunch in St. Pete! The food is consistently beautifully presented, the coffee is so smooth you might lose count of how many cups you’ve enjoyed, and the entire space exudes the most dreamy aesthetic.
The walls are lined with thousands of books, all in harmonious shades of navy blue, and the seating features a mix of comfortable, den-style English chairs. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend hours and never want to leave.
The menu changes seasonally, but if you ever have the opportunity to try their sourdough French toast, do not hesitate. You’ll thank me later. The Library is perfect for a sophisticated girls’ brunch, a relaxed breakfast date, or even as part of a St. Pete bachelorette weekend. For a unique and aesthetically pleasing dining experience, The Library is a gem among restaurants in downtown St. Pete.

Birch & Vine is one of those places that feels a touch fancy, but in a way that encourages you to embrace and enjoy the elevated experience. Located within The Birchwood hotel, it boasts a sleek, modern setting with a breezy patio—perfect for those moments when you want to treat yourself.
The menu is New American, emphasizing seasonal flavors, and every dish I’ve tried has been something I would eagerly order again. The cocktail shrimp were incredibly fresh and flavorful, the pasta was chef’s kiss perfect, and if you’re in the mood for steak, theirs is phenomenal (and did you notice that truffle?!?). 15. Wild Child: Effortlessly Cool and Globally Inspired
Wild Child is one of those restaurants in downtown St. Pete that exudes effortless cool. The menu is filled with fresh, seasonal dishes featuring exciting international flavors, and they are serious about crafting exceptional cocktails.
Let’s talk about the food first. The Korean fried chicken sandwich is phenomenal. It’s perfectly balanced with kimchi mayo and crisp shredded cabbage, and if you order the rosemary fries with garlic aioli on the side, you’re doing it right. One of the most surprisingly delightful dishes I’ve had here is their Caprese salad with strawberry and rhubarb—it sounds unconventional, but the flavors harmonize beautifully. And the tuna tostadas? Always a solid and flavorful choice.
For cocktails, I always order the Lost Weekend. It’s a refreshing blend of fresh watermelon, lime, and agave, and you get to choose your spirit. Mezcal is the best option, trust me. For a trendy and globally-inspired dining experience, Wild Child is a must-try among restaurants in downtown St. Pete.
16. Beau & Mo’s: Sexy Steakhouse Vibe
Beau & Mo’s completely blew me away the moment I walked through the door. Expecting a typical steakhouse atmosphere, I was met with something far more captivating—jaw dropped. The ambiance is dimly lit, incredibly intimate, and undeniably **sexy. If you need the perfect spot for a date night or anniversary*, this is it*.
We started with the goat cheese bruschetta, and oh my god, it was incredible. Then, by fortunate timing, we visited on a Wednesday, which meant we were able to take advantage of their amazing dinner-for-two deal—$89 for two 6-oz filets, two wedge salads (we substituted the house-made creamy garlic dressing for blue cheese, which I highly recommend), shrimp scampi, green beans, and dessert cannolis.
We were absolutely stuffed, but when I see limoncello cake on an Italian restaurant menu, I must order it. And this was, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever had—so light, so perfectly flavored, just an absolute dream of a dessert!
Oh, and before you leave? They have a box of cigars available for you to take one if you wish, along with a small outdoor area where you can enjoy it. Such a fun and sophisticated touch! For a romantic and unforgettable steakhouse experience, Beau & Mo’s is a premier choice among restaurants in downtown St. Pete.
17. Juno & The Peacock: Coastal Cuisine with a Chic Patio
You already know my expectations were high for Juno & The Peacock since it’s the sister restaurant to Allelo, and it absolutely delivered. It offers New American Coastal Cuisine with an ambiance that perfectly complements the Sunshine City. The outdoor patio is adorable, and I genuinely can’t walk past it without stopping to take a photo. It’s simply too picturesque.
Let’s get to the important part—the food. I’ve visited a few times now, and if I had to recommend a go-to order, it would be this: Wagyu beef carpaccio, Monica’s cornbread (a must-try), and the California crunch salad to start. Then, without fail, I share the Dean & Peeler ribeye. That being said, every seafood dish I’ve sampled has also been incredibly delicious, so you really can’t go wrong.
Also, they make one of my favorite espresso martinis in Tampa Bay, and you know I don’t say that lightly. If you somehow manage to save room for dessert, do not skip the key lime tart—it’s a delightful twist on the Florida classic, and you’ll be thinking about it for days. For a chic and coastal dining experience, Juno & The Peacock is a standout among restaurants in downtown St. Pete.
18. Rococo Steak: Romantic Steakhouse Energy
Rococo Steak takes the classic American steakhouse vibe and infuses it with a fresh, modern energy. The ambiance is romantic, moody, and ideal for a special night out. Stepping inside, you immediately feel like you’re about to enjoy an extraordinary meal.
The service was exceptional. Our server was genuinely passionate about the menu, and their recommendations enhanced our entire dining experience. We started with the crab fritter, and when I say it was packed with crab meat, I truly mean it. Then came the ribeye—flavorful, juicy, and the black pepper sauce with the mushrooms? Obsessed.
Now, were we full? Absolutely. Did we still take home a slice of their honey lavender cheesecake? Also yes. And it was completely worth it. This spot is on the pricier side, making it perfect for special occasions, but if you’re searching for an unforgettable steakhouse experience in St. Pete, this is it! For a special occasion steakhouse, Rococo Steak is one of the best restaurants in downtown St. Pete.

Good Fortune is such a vibe! It’s an Asian fusion restaurant located in a basement, which is quite rare in Florida and instantly elevates its coolness factor. The entire ambiance is fantastic—think dim lighting, a stunning canopy of flower blossoms above the bar, and on weekends, a DJ amplifying the energy even further!
Their sushi rolls? Love them. Their cocktails? Obsessed. I literally must order the Big Buddha every time I visit. Oh, and if you’re in the mood for some fun, they even have private karaoke rooms! Whether you’re seeking a trendy dinner spot or a lively night out, Good Fortune might just be one of the most fun restaurants in downtown St. Pete!

If you’re looking for a fun, flavor-packed place to visit with friends, check out Nueva Cantina! It genuinely offers some of the best Mexican food in St. Pete, and their dishes are perfect for sharing. Their birria pizza is absolutely insane in the best possible way. And don’t even get me started on their queso—it has the perfect little kick, and I could easily make a meal of just that and a pitcher of margaritas, to be honest.
Speaking of margaritas, they always have a fun theme happening! Whether it’s Christmas, Galentine’s, St. Patrick’s Day—whatever—they go all out with decorations and themed menus. For Valentine’s Day, they featured a margarita called the Baby Daddy that actually came with a tiny sonogram featuring a taco. I mean, I cannot. Absolutely iconic behavior.
