Our meal started with the octopus, and it was a revelation – unbelievably tender and bursting with taste. However, the Taleggio Agnolotti was the dish of the night, a recommendation from our server that turned into an unforgettable culinary moment. The combination of crispy lamb belly, charred leeks, and chive oil was simply divine and easily ranks as one of the most memorable dishes I’ve enjoyed in St. Pete.

The focus is on premium ingredients, evident in their hand-rolled pastas and both Roman and Neapolitan-style pizzas. We opted for the “Mary” pizza, a delightful combination of mozzarella, ricotta, meatballs, caramelized onion, and parmesan – every bite was a taste of Italy.

What I can share is that it’s a Tokyo-style listening bar and craft sake house that’s absolutely worth experiencing. The menu has been updated since my last visit (which means I definitely need to return soon!), but everything I’ve tried has been packed with incredible flavors. And the sake cocktails? Total game-changers.

8. Lolita’s Wine Market
Lolita’s Wine Market had me completely charmed from the moment I stepped inside! It’s cozy and inviting, with vibrant décor and exceptional service. I had such a wonderful time here, and the staff’s wine recommendations were spot on, finding me the perfect glass of wine.
The charcuterie boards are essential, and I’m still dreaming about the fire and ice ceviche – it’s truly outstanding. And that’s coming from someone who recently visited Colombia and knows great ceviche! Just when you think you’re done, don’t skip the tres leches cake served in a coconut – a sweet and memorable finale.
If you’re a brunch enthusiast, you won’t be disappointed either. Lolita’s is one of my top picks for brunch restaurants in downtown St. Pete! The outdoor seating with a limited menu is also a lovely option, perfect for sipping wine and enjoying the St. Pete sunshine. 9. Copa
Copa truly lives up to the hype. Their menu is like a love letter to the flavors of Latin America and the Caribbean – think tapas with a tropical twist. Every dish is incredibly delicious, but we especially loved the scallops and tostones!
For cocktails, their espresso martini was a highlight. The presentation was beautiful, the flavor was perfect, and getting it at half-price during happy hour was a bonus!
Their coffee expertise is evident, because when they opened Café Copa next door, I knew it would be amazing – and it definitely is. Easily one of the best coffee spots in St. Pete! Copa and Café Copa together make a fantastic culinary destination among restaurants downtown St Pete.
10. Parkshore Grill
If you’ve been to Parkshore Grill, you already understand why it’s on this list of the best downtown St. Pete restaurants. For any special occasion in St. Pete, whether it’s a birthday, holiday, or date night, Parkshore Grill is always a top contender for dinner. Located right on Beach Drive, sitting on their patio with a glass of wine just feels like the perfect evening. The interior is also lovely, but there’s something special about the patio ambiance.
Their menu features contemporary American cuisine, with exciting daily specials. But if you enjoy surf ‘n’ turf, The Parkshore is a must. It includes a filet and a lobster tail, and the lobster is exceptionally tender. The lemon caper butter sauce truly elevates the dish.
One of my favorite things is sharing The Parkshore with Remi. We usually start with an appetizer or a small salad, and they are always kind enough to split the entrée for us, plating it separately so it feels like a complete meal for each of us. Parkshore Grill is a classic choice for restaurants downtown St Pete.
11. The Urban Stillhouse
Everything about The Urban Stillhouse is an experience in itself. The atmosphere, the service, the food, the drinks – it’s all exceptional. Imagine leather sofas, wood-burning fireplaces, a bourbon “library,” and an aroma that evokes the warmth of Christmas. “Cozy” barely begins to describe it.
Reservations are definitely recommended as this place is popular. I’ve only been for brunch, but their dinner menu looks equally impressive. For brunch, the bloody mary is a must (they even add a caffeine and B12 infusion for an extra boost). Their fried chicken and homemade pickles? Simply incredible.
Even if you’re not a bourbon enthusiast, consider getting a flight for the table just for the experience. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and will guide you on how to best enjoy it. And if you can, take a moment to explore the space – at least visit “the library” upstairs! The Urban Stillhouse offers a unique and immersive experience among restaurants downtown St Pete.

The Library is another one of my go-to brunch or lunch spots in St. Pete! The food is always beautifully presented, the coffee is so smooth you might lose count of how many cups you’ve had, and the entire space has a truly dreamy aesthetic.
The walls are lined with thousands of books, all in varying shades of navy blue, and the seating includes comfortable English den-style chairs. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend hours and never want to leave.
The menu changes occasionally, but if you have the chance to try their sourdough French toast, definitely do. You’ll thank me later. This spot is perfect for a girls’ brunch, a relaxed breakfast date, or even a St. Pete bachelorette weekend.

Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 AM to 3 PM, so if you’re craving huevos rancheros or flavorful chorizo-packed eggs, this is your place.

Birch & Vine is one of those spots that feels slightly upscale but in a way that makes you want to embrace it. Located inside The Birchwood hotel, it boasts a sleek, modern design with a breezy patio – ideal for when you want to treat yourself a little.
The menu is New American with an emphasis on seasonal flavors, and everything I’ve tried has been something I’d happily order again. The cocktail shrimp were fresh and flavorful, the pasta was superb, and if you’re in the mood for steak, theirs is phenomenal (and that truffle butter is incredible!). 15. Wild Child
Wild Child is effortlessly cool and stands out among downtown St. Pete restaurants. The menu is full of fresh, seasonal dishes with international influences, and they take their cocktails seriously.
Let’s talk food first. The Korean fried chicken sandwich is phenomenal, featuring kimchi mayo and shredded cabbage. Pairing it with rosemary fries and garlic aioli is the perfect move. One of the most surprisingly delightful dishes I had was their Caprese salad with strawberry and rhubarb – an unusual combination, but the flavors work wonderfully together. And the tuna tostadas? Always a solid choice.
For cocktails, I consistently order the Lost Weekend. It combines fresh watermelon, lime, and agave, and you get to choose your spirit. Mezcal is the way to go, trust me. Wild Child is a trendy and flavorful choice for restaurants downtown St Pete.
16. Beau & Mo’s
Beau & Mo’s completely exceeded my expectations from the moment I walked in. I was anticipating a typical steakhouse atmosphere, but instead – jaw-droppingly intimate and sexy. It’s dimly lit, super intimate, and truly sexy. If you need a spot for a date night or an anniversary, this is it.
We began with the goat cheese bruschetta, and it was heavenly. Then, by chance, we visited on a Wednesday, which meant we could take advantage of their incredible dinner-for-two deal – $89 for two 6-oz filets, two wedge salads (we substituted the house-made creamy garlic dressing for blue cheese, which I highly recommend), shrimp scampi, green beans, and dessert cannolis.
We were incredibly full, but when I see limoncello cake on an Italian restaurant menu, I have to try it. And this was, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever had – light, perfect, simply a dream of a dessert!
Oh, and before you leave, they have a box of cigars for you to take one if you wish, along with a small outdoor area where you can enjoy it. Such a fun and sophisticated touch! Beau & Mo’s is the epitome of romantic restaurants downtown St Pete.
17. Juno & The Peacock
Knowing it was the sister restaurant to Allelo, I had high expectations for Juno & The Peacock, and it absolutely lived up to them. They offer New American Coastal Cuisine with a vibe that perfectly matches the Sunshine City. The outdoor patio is adorable, and I can’t resist taking a photo every time I walk by. It’s just too picturesque.
Let’s get to the important part – the food. I’ve visited a few times, and if I had to choose a go-to order, it would be: Wagyu beef carpaccio, Monica’s cornbread (a must-try), and the California crunch salad to start. Then, without fail, I share the Dean & Peeler ribeye. That said, every seafood dish I’ve tried has also been excellent, so you really can’t make a wrong choice.
Also, they make one of my favorite espresso martinis in Tampa Bay, and that’s not something I say lightly. If you somehow have room for dessert, don’t miss the key lime tart – a delightful twist on the Florida classic that you’ll be thinking about for days. Rococo Steak takes the classic American steakhouse vibe and infuses it with a fresh energy. The ambiance is romantic, moody, and perfect for a special night out. Walking in, you immediately feel like you’re in for an exceptional meal.
The service was outstanding. Our server was genuinely passionate about the menu, and their recommendations enhanced the entire experience. We started with the crab fritter, and when I say it was packed with crab meat, I truly mean it. Then came the ribeye – flavorful, juicy, and that black pepper sauce with mushrooms? Incredible.
Were we full? Absolutely. Did we still take home a slice of their honey lavender cheesecake? Also yes. And it was absolutely worth it. This spot is on the pricier side, making it perfect for special occasions, but if you’re seeking an unforgettable steakhouse experience in St. Pete, this is the place to be among restaurants downtown St Pete.
19. Good Fortune
Good Fortune is a true vibe! This Asian fusion spot is located in a basement, which is almost unheard of in Florida and instantly makes it cooler. The entire atmosphere is fantastic – think dim lighting, a canopy of flower blossoms above the bar, and a DJ on weekends amplifying the energy!
Their sushi rolls? Love them. Their cocktails? Obsessed. I literally have to order the Big Buddha every time. Oh, and if you’re up for some fun, they even have karaoke rooms! 20. Nueva Cantina
If you’re searching for a fun, flavor-packed place to visit with friends, check out Nueva Cantina! It seriously has some of the best Mexican food in St. Pete, and their dishes are perfect for sharing. Their birria pizza is absolutely incredible in the best possible way. And let’s not forget their queso – it has just the right amount of kick, and I could easily make a meal just out of that and a pitcher of margaritas, to be honest.
Speaking of margaritas, they always have a fun theme going on! Whether it’s Christmas, Galentine’s, St. Patrick’s Day – you name it – they go all out with decorations and themed menus. For Valentine’s Day, they had a margarita called the Baby Daddy that even came with a small sonogram featuring a taco. I mean, iconic! Nueva Cantina is the go-to for festive and delicious Mexican restaurants downtown St Pete.
