MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Pedro Millan, the 20-year-old internet personality who rose to fame as “Peter La Anguila,” is facing serious legal trouble after being arrested for allegedly choking his wife during a domestic dispute. The arrest of the South Florida-based YouTube figure, known for his viral dance videos filmed in Speedos across Miami Beach, has drawn significant attention online.
Millan, widely recognized by his moniker “Peter the Eel,” gained viral fame for his unconventional dance moves and distinctive physique, showcased in videos often accumulating millions of views. His most viewed video boasts over 52 million hits, contributing to his status as a recognizable online figure.
His wife, Yenia Millan, who also appears in some of his videos as “La Kuki,” initially defended her husband in a Facebook post following the arrest. “I know you all are wondering what happened to Peter,” she wrote. “I just wanted to say that all is well. Unfortunately, anyone can have a problem and it’s unfair that it’s all being published, but everything’s OK. Thank you.”
However, the arrest report paints a grim picture of the incident. According to police, the altercation began as an argument about a flower bouquet. The report states that Millan allegedly became “enraged” during the dispute and physically attacked his wife, wrestling her to the ground and choking her. Officers who responded to the scene noted visible injuries on Yenia Millan, including bruises and redness on her arms.
Disturbingly, the arrest report also quotes Pedro Millan making a chilling confession to an officer: “I wanted to kill her. That is why I was choking her. Please take me to jail.”
Despite the serious charges and his alleged confession, Millan addressed the situation in a Spanish-language Instagram post. While appearing to offer an apology, he also attempted to downplay the severity of the incident and refute some of the reports circulating online.
“Hello, I’d like to express that no one is perfect and any one can make a mistake in which I regret,” Millan stated in the translated post. “I just want you to know that what’s being reported is beyond the truth because I can see my children. No one has told me I can’t. In fact, I’m with them now, everything is taken care of.”
Adding to the troubling details, police revealed that Yenia Millan disclosed a history of abuse, stating that her husband had choked her on multiple prior occasions, none of which were previously reported to law enforcement.
Pedro Millan was subsequently released from jail after posting a $5,000 bond. The case remains ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the legal process unfolds.
