Pet Fee
To accommodate the additional cleaning and maintenance required for pet-friendly stays, a non-refundable pet fee of $175 per stay is applied. This fee helps us maintain the cleanliness and comfort of our dwellings for all our guests.
Size and Breed Restrictions
We happily welcome pets of all breeds! For size considerations, we generally accommodate pets weighing up to 50 lbs. If you have a larger pet, don’t hesitate to contact us prior to your arrival. Larger pets may be allowed with prior approval, ensuring we can comfortably accommodate them. While we have no breed restrictions, we do emphasize that all pets must be well-behaved, always leashed when outside of your dwelling, and non-aggressive to ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests and their pets.
Accepted Pets
To maintain a comfortable environment for all guests, our pet policy currently welcomes dogs and cats only.
Pet Limit
To ensure a relaxed and spacious environment, we allow a maximum of one pet per dwelling.
Housebroken Pets
For hygiene and comfort, all pets staying at Ancient Lore Village must be fully housebroken. We kindly ask pet owners to be responsible and considerate in this regard.
Pet-Friendly and Restricted Areas within the Village
Ancient Lore Village offers beautiful spaces for you and your pet to explore! However, for the safety and enjoyment of all guests, some areas are designated as pet-friendly while others have restrictions.
Welcome Areas
Your furry friends are welcome in our charming Fairy and Orc Family Dwellings, providing cozy and comfortable accommodations for you both. Additionally, most of our expansive outdoor spaces are pet-friendly, allowing for delightful walks and exploration of the village grounds.
Restricted Areas
To maintain the tranquility and specific experiences offered in certain areas, pets (unless they are certified service animals) are restricted from the following locations:
- Willows Landing: This area is designed for specific guest experiences that are not suitable for pets.
- Village Gardens and pathways: To preserve the delicate flora and ensure a peaceful environment for all guests enjoying the gardens.
- Axe and Archery Range: For safety reasons, pets are not permitted in active recreation areas like the Axe and Archery Range.
- Gremlin Gameyard: Similar to the Axe and Archery Range, this active game area is not suitable for pets.
- Tree Elf Nest Patio and Tree Elf Nest: These elevated and unique spaces are not designed to safely accommodate pets.
Pet Behavior and Supervision: Ensuring a Harmonious Stay

Control
Your pet must always be under your control while on the property. This means using a leash in outdoor areas and ensuring they respond to your commands. In the rare event that a pet is deemed unmanageable and poses a disruption, we may need to request their removal from the property without refund, prioritizing the comfort and safety of all guests.
Noise and Behavior
While we love having pets, excessive barking or other disruptive behaviors can impact the peaceful atmosphere of Ancient Lore Village. If your pet becomes excessively noisy or disruptive, it may unfortunately result in additional fees or the early termination of your stay. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping noise levels considerate.
Toxic Plants Notice
Ancient Lore Village is home to a diverse array of beautiful plant species throughout our gardens and property. It’s important to be aware that some of these plants may be toxic to pets if ingested. As a pet owner, you are responsible for diligently monitoring your pet and preventing them from eating any plants. Ancient Lore Village cannot be held liable for any illness or harm caused if your pet ingests toxic plants on the property.
Additional Services for Your Furry Friend
We aim to make your pet’s stay as comfortable as possible by offering some additional amenities.
Pet Amenities
For an additional fee of $50 per night, we can provide convenient pet amenities including crates, bowls, and tasty treats to make your pet feel right at home. Please inquire about availability when booking your stay.
Damage Policy
While we trust that pets are part of the family, pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets during their stay. Any damage incurred will result in additional charges, assessed based on the extent of the damage. We appreciate your understanding in ensuring the upkeep of our dwellings for all future guests.
In-Room Pet Policy: Comfort and Consideration
For the comfort and safety of your pet and our housekeeping staff, we have a few in-room guidelines.
Unattended Pets
Pets should not be left unattended in guest rooms unless they are safely secured in a crate or carrier. If you do need to leave your pet unattended in your room while crated, please provide us with a contact number for emergencies so we can reach you if needed.
Housekeeping Services
To ensure the safety and comfort of both your pet and our staff, housekeeping services will only be provided under the following conditions: either your pet is not present in the room during service, or you are present to directly supervise your pet, ensuring they are secured on a leash or safely in a crate while our staff is attending to the room.
Waste Disposal: Keeping Ancient Lore Village Pristine
Maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of Ancient Lore Village is a shared responsibility.
Pet owners are required to promptly pick up after their pets and properly dispose of all waste in designated pet waste stations located throughout the pet-friendly areas of the village. Failure to comply with this important requirement will unfortunately result in a $75 fine. Your cooperation in keeping our grounds clean and pleasant is greatly appreciated by all our guests.
