Discover the Legacy of Pet Pantry Warehouse: Your Trusted Pet Supply Store

The story of Pet Pantry Warehouse began in 1945, sparked by an unlikely alliance between World War II Army Air Forces servicemen, Mort Davis and Jac Cohen. Their bond was cemented by a shared love for animals, specifically a British puppy adopted by Davis while stationed in England. After successfully bringing the pup stateside, their friendship evolved into a business partnership in the pet food industry. Though Davis passed away in the late 1960s, Cohen continued to grow their venture until 1995. That year marked a new chapter when Barry Jacobson and his sons, Adam and Ari, acquired the business, taking the reins and leading Pet Pantry Warehouse into the modern era.

In 1995, the original warehouse location underwent a transformation, evolving from a simple storage space into a contemporary and inviting shopping environment. This reinvention gave birth to a fresh business model that proved successful, paving the way for expansion. The revamped Greenwich store became the blueprint for future locations, starting with Rye, NY in 2006, followed by Larchmont, NY, in 2010. Further growth included a New Canaan, CT store in late 2012, and another in Wilton, CT. Pet Pantry Warehouse continued to expand its reach, offering convenient local shopping experiences with additional stores opening in Riverside, CT, Scarsdale, NY, and a seventh store in Fairfield, CT, which opened in the summer of 2018 at 1876 Blackrock Turnpike.

As a family-operated business deeply rooted in the community, Pet Pantry Warehouse understands the importance of giving back. Over the years, they have actively supported the communities they serve, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars in monetary contributions, goods, and services. This commitment to local communities is a cornerstone of the Pet Pantry Warehouse philosophy.
